The research is being conducted by the University of Copenhagen and features some remarkable findings so far. Whereas overweight participants following the New Nordic Diet lost 3.1 kilos on average after 12 weeks, participants who ate typical meals only lost 1.6 kilos on average.
For people struggling to reduce their food intake to lose some extra pounds, the good news is that the New Nordic Diet is not a "diet" in the conventional sense, but rather a meal system centered around a combination of good taste, sustainability and local ingredients.
